| Dr. Asher Hasan is a 2009 member of the Clinton Global Initiative, a TED Fellow and a Draper Richards Social Entrepreneur Fellow for 2009-2011. In addition, Naya Jeevan and he are the recipients of a $75,000 1st prize in the 2008 NYU Social Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition. Prior to launching Naya Jeevan, Dr. Hasan served in the capacity of Senior Director of the US Medical Affairs Obesity team for Amylin Pharmaceuticals, Inc. | "Plan Bee" is Sarah Hashwani’s brain child which crystallized under the umbrella of Hashoo Foundation. It is sweetening the deal for the women bee-keepers of northern Pakistan by selling their top-quality honey in luxury hotels. Sarah graduated from Islamabad International School in 1998 and then moved to Houston to study at the University of St. Thomas from where she completed her Bachelors degree in December 2003 with a major in Finance and a minor in Philosophy. |
